Santa Fe Text Scam Alert!

(Santa Fe Homes Blog) Santa Fe’s Guadalupe Credit Union has alerted the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office to a text message scam hitting members and non-members today.
The text message reads, “Dear Guadalupe CU member, your account with us is closed due to unusual activity, call 1 773 527-6557.”
When the number is called, a recording states, “Welcome to Guadalup (Guadaloop) Customer Service. To re-activate, we need three things from you: 16 digit credit card number, expiration date and pin number.”
DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS TEXT OR CALL THIS NUMBER.
Guadalupe Credit Union has received over 200 calls as of 11:00 am this morning from members and non-members.
Call 505 982-8942 if you receive this text and you are a member of Guadalupe Credit Union.
If you receive this text and you are not a member, call your financial institution to report.
